About the Previous Domain Owner
The sigmedical.net domain was originally registered and operated by SIG Medical Inc. (also known as SIG Medical Corp.), a medical device startup based at 238 East Chocolate Avenue, Suite 2, Hershey, Pennsylvania 17033. SIG Medical developed the AdvantageRib system, an FDA-cleared minimally invasive rib fracture fixation technology created in collaboration with researchers at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
On September 24, 2019, SIG Medical was acquired by Zimmer Biomet Holdings Inc. Following the acquisition, the AdvantageRib product line was rebranded as RibFix™ Advantage and is marketed by Zimmer Biomet. SIG Medical no longer operates as an independent company.
